Online consultation on homelessness and social development

From now until June 20, Gatineau residents are invited to participate in an online survey on homelessness and social development, following the April consultative summit that involved various organizations and partners. The survey, available at gatineau.ca/consultations, seeks residents' input on themes such as homelessness, encampments, warming centers, housing services, specific populations, community cohesion, support for interventions, and partnerships. It also covers neighborhood development, living conditions, quality of life, research, collaboration, and partnerships. This initiative aims to better identify issues and prioritize actions for the 2025-2029 Action Plan on Social Development and Homelessness. Mayor Daniel Champagne emphasized the city's tradition of public consultation, inviting residents to participate actively, stating, "Your vision and ideas are crucial for shaping our future action plan. Together, we can build a better city and improve our community." This consultation offers a vital opportunity for residents to influence policies addressing key social issues in Gatineau.
